It goes to the heart of our brand. We apply systems thinking when we design our clothing, and we design for movement. That means fits and fabrics that just work to meet the needs of your daily life.
We try to get back to everyone as soon as possible, within 1-2 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding holidays). Occasionally our replies can end up in spam, so please be sure to check there first. If it is not in your spam folder, please verify that you submitted your inquiry to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We would love to work with you! Send us an email at email@example.com with your media kit, social handles, and any information you want us to see, and we will be sure to get back to you.
All our pieces are made in Portugal.
Thankfully not! The shirts are machine washable up to 40 degrees Celsius. We recommend washing them at 30 degrees, because it’s better for the environment.
Our performance fabric is woven with 85% technical fibres (a polyester base) and 15% cotton fibres. The technical fibre is spun in a patented process, to achieve a structure that pulls moisture away from the skin. (We call this ‘wicking’, or ‘quick-dry’). It does this without any chemical treatment.
The polyester in our fabric is not the same as standard polyester. It’s a technical fibre that’s been engineered to perform.
The proportion of 85% technical fibres is the minimum required to achieve the moisture wicking function, which is what keeps you cool, dry and comfortable all day.
No. We worked hard to develop a performance fabric that feels like cotton poplin. Some people say it’s even softer.
We do not use chemicals to achieve the wicking function - which is quite rare in the industry.
But wicking fabrics need odour control technology, to balance the effect of constantly pulling moisture from your skin.
We use Polygiene, which is one of the most widely used odour control technologies in the sportswear industry. They use very low concentrations of silver salt - from recycled sources - to achieve enhanced odour control.
We ensure that all our partners are accredited or endorsed by brands who can hold these large companies accountable for their supply chains.
For example, Polygiene is bluesign® certified. This means it meets rigorous independent environmental and product life cycle standards.
Our other major fabric technology is drirelease, which is used by brands such as Patagonia and Nike.
Above all, what we want to encourage is lower consumption of water and fabrics. Because that’s what will make the greatest difference to the planet. Our pieces don’t require as much washing, and are designed to be versatile, durable foundations for your wardrobe.
Our brand grew from the personal experience of our founder, Prabha Rathinasabapathy, as a professional woman living in central London. Prabha saw a gap in women’s apparel, and set out to fill it.
The brand has been built on the personal experiences of women whose needs are currently not met by the industry. Doing this well requires attention, and focus.
When we have the time and resources to extend our attention to the needs of men, we’d love to reinvent their wardrobes too.
Walter is our hero piece. The boyfriend cut is looser and longer on the body, so it suits a range of body types and ages. It is an ‘everyday easy’ shirt, for every generation.
All our pieces are great for travel, but Walter has become known as a travel essential. It is the most versatile style, so you can get several outfits with just one shirt. The fabric stays crisp and fresh for long journeys, and can hold up for 2-3 days without washing.
Ludwig is a closer fit, with higher shoulders. It’s a great piece to sit under a jacket. But the split side seams still allow for shapely hips, if you have those. (Lots of women do.)
Marianne is a slim fit that works. It’s the boardroom hero, staying true to the traditional form of a woman’s tailored shirt. Our twist is that the darts and seams are more discreet, and we have our .
